Talesworth Adventure: Episode 2 Update

Episode 2 is on the way!  I can't give an exact day, but it's coming soon, hoping to launch it by end of October.  I'm a little concerned about the difficulty, though.  It is impossible to play test my own games, and my playtesters from episode 1 are experts now.  Any thoughts on making episode 2 easier or harder?

  1. Loved the first game! Sadly my stars aren't lighting up when I achieve them. Is it because I don't have game centre on my iPad?

I want to say make ep.2 harder, but I was pulling my hair out on some levels already... That pesky thief had me for a while.

  3. AWESOME! :D
Just put both easy and hard puzzles. A steep learning curve might not be a problem since it's the 2nd episode.

  4. @Tim I'm looking into that, I'll post the answer here if I find anything.

@WeirdCharactersGuy True indeed. I am actually working a hint system into episode 2. Figure if people want to lookup answers, they will, but I can make it in the game to keep it accurate. The reason I posted the walkthrough is that people were putting up YouTubes of solutions to maps before patches.

@Anon Yeah, working on the learning curve. I suck at that. Every puzzle is me vs the world!

  5. Regarding Achievements in the current iPad/iPhone version, they are bugged but a fix has been pushed. It usually takes about a week to get okay'd by Apple.

  8. The first game was a pretty good balance of ease and difficulty.

I'd lean towards making the second one a bit harder, but not too much.

I cannot wait for ep 2 on my iPad! Ep 1 is one of my favorite iPad downloads!

  9. So how's it going with the game? Made any progress? As for difficulty, I don't know in what way you changed the game, but I'd still suggest keeping it easy in the beginning to harder in the end and perhaps some really difficult bonus rooms. If you ever need testers, send me a message.
