Talesworth Adventure: Quest for the Dragon's Hoard

A unique puzzle game that challenges you to help Questy slay the Dragon of Talesworth and snatch his hoard of loot. He's an evil dragon, so don't feel bad. Navigate through 30 increasingly difficult levels (and 3 bonus levels). This game was inspired by my love of the old D&D graph paper maps and classic 8-bit games.

  2. Very fun game! Kinda difficult in some parts, but that's what a puzzle game is all about!

  4. Just found you through the Armor Games frontpage. I wasn't super impressed by the first few levels, but once I got into the second color tier, the puzzles are solid as hell! Not tremendously hard yet, but just enough that I feel like I accomplished something each time. I just got up to the first purple room / first bonus room, and I think I gotta take a break :3

I LOVE the sound that Questy makes when he sees a Bag of Loot.

  5. Excellent game! Thank you for creating it. I love these kinds of puzzlers. I just completed the game with all achievements. The last level is just plain evil. I'm glad I had only one reset at point, because I used my remaining 4 to solve the last level. Yikes!

Please make more levels, or create a level editor and allow the community to create levels.

One very minor criticism... when you introduce moving game dynamics (rolling boulder, arrows, thief, dragon's breath) it's not obvious initially what rules they follow. Questions that I had to "guess" about when play these levels:

    * How fast do the arrows fly (answer: faster than you can run... *much* faster ).
    * Does the boulder move at the same rate as the main character? (Answer: yes, apparently).
    * Does the boulder trigger doors/switches/eat gold? (yes, yes, no)
    * The thief was fairly intuitive since it is a "human" character. It made sens that the thief would follow the same rules as the main character.
    * What triggers the dragon's breath. Can it be blocked?

All in all, an excellent game. 5 out of 5!

  6. Loved this game. Just the right amount of complexity for a casual game -- not too easy and not frustrating. Can't wait for more!

  7. I also found your game through the armorgames.com mainpage. The later levels got really hard and challenging. But finally I was able to finish the whole game.
At the moment I only have some levels left, where I left the gems and finished them just to move one. Also I stuck at Bonus-Map 2. Did someone cleared that one and can give me a hint?

  9. This game was AWESOME...I love how you've got to think through a strategy instead of a lot of games today where you just "Rambo it". I liked the graphics and the concept...I can't wait to play the next one.

  10. a great game! i'm stuck in the first directional arrows at 4-way intersection. Puzzles of the game era a real challenge sometimes, and had to try and try many times.

Questie is a big one :P.

  12. 24th gem was pure genius. Great job on that one!

Very great game, would like to see more. A level editor would be a nice feature.

Posted my full review there, second post in the topic. I don't really feel like saying the same thing twice. The gist of it is: really nice job.

  14. The third red level can be beaten using all the loot bags but only one of the two gates. That's the first level so far where I've noticed a solution that includes the gem and doesn't require all the items.

  17. By far one of the best online games I've ever played. Difficulty is perfect (Not too easy but yet solveable before it get's frustrating.). I also really like the old school graphics :D

I really can't wait the second Episode.

Can you already tell when the second part will come out?

  18. Episode 2 is mostly done, but probably won't be out for another month. New tools, new monsters, huge upgrade on graphics and story, and of course, more puzzles :)
